EMI suppression due to soldering joints

I was curious to know whether the modification of a resistor with a higher value on a surface mount device by hand soldering would affect EMC at high frequencies?

1. Yes, it might.
2. It depends on the circuits, parameters, frequency, signal waveform and shielding.
