I just switched to using dual monitors for the first time, and so far liking it, except that when a popup menu appears (such as inserting a new component in an ass'y or inserting a note or balloon in a drawing) the menu appears on screen 2 while I'm working on screen 1. It's not a huge inconvenience, but it is somewhat anyone. Is there any way to change this?

closer,
You have to go into your video properties window and start wandering around looking for settings such as display properties, advanced, Quadro4, desktops, properties/options and try to change the window where new windows are displayed.
Keep one thing in mind: it's sometimes better to have the additional windows all open on the 'side' screen as youwill be able to see your work AND select things on the side simultaniously. I have only proe on my main widescreen and all of the other windows and menus popping up on the 'side' one. My icons and nav bar are on the side, too. Try it you will get used to hopping over to the side whenever you anticipate a window opening there.
Oh, speed up your cursor, too 'cause it's a long way over to the other side!

Well, funny thing... I've gotten used to it, and now kinda like having those menus over there out of the way.

Thanks, though...

lol a few months ago I had the opposite problem as you. I couldn't get the menus on the other screen!I finally got it to work, then my co-worker came back from a 3-week vacation and stole his monitor back. The nerve eh?
