Hi all,
Have a question regarding dynamic stability control or electronic stability program what ever one like to describe a system which uses brake pulses to control understeer / oversteer.
Im curious as to why it requires 3 primary sensors; steering angle, yaw rate, and lateral acceleration (of course the complete system would also have things like wheel speed , pitch etc.), when in my mind the yaw rate together with steering angle or lateral acceleration with steering angle would suffice in identifing if the vehicle is u/s or o/s.
Do these systems run togather and compare yaw rate and lateral acc. as a comffirmation or is it used differently.
Im not sure if I have posted this in the correct topic area, but it does dive into the vehicle dynaics area.
