Dimensions(Thickness) of Sockolet

1.Please kindly advise what is the difference between boss and Sockolet ?
2.When I have a Run Pipe 18 " - 12.7mm Thick and Branch opening with 18x1.5" CL.3000 sockolet. Now please advise me what thickness need to be mentioned in the Report either pipe wall thickness of Sockolet wall thickness?
3. Where can I find the thickness of sockolet mss-sp-97 is not providing the clear dimensions for thickness ?

A boss is usually though of a a solid circular protusion, like a sockolet, but with no hole.

MSS Sp 97 give a max thickness which then tapers down. Basically thickness is whatever your vendor says is suitable.

Ask the vendor, but when even bonney forge who invented these things don't give min dimensions then you might not find it listed....


Pipe wall thickness look at the line list.
