Design consideration for plastic internals

Hi, I have been doing the mechanical design of metal internals (like distributor, feed pipe, supports) by considering the allowable stress from ASME II D and checking the loads for allowable deflection specified in datasheet. Now we want to design the same in polypropylene for one of the application. Can I follow the procedure same as metal or are there any other consideration involved? Any help will be appreciated.
