I am a big fan of cross A lot of very good reports that have great info, great way to get real cpd, rather than finance for engineer or similar.
I have noticed recently that cross it now also reporting theories on poor design rather than reports of poor design, two such pubs 1. Modelling connections and 2. Modelling of structures.
I for reasons I can't explain, I am not a great fan of these two reports, mostly the connections report. I can't put my finger on it, but I feel like the info is sound but what is reported as best practice is out of date. For connections there is a huge body of research it Frank et al pubs etc, that provides great basis for semi rigid design.
Have I become to grumpy?
