hi.....
I have this shaft fixed at one end and free at other end. I wanted to see the deflection of free end due to gravity. I am using SI system library for material (N/m2) (E= 2.1 x 10^11 , density= 7833) and applying gravity of 9.8 m/s2. but the deflection and stresses are coming very high. I suppose this is due the uncertainty of units. and also the change in position of cg doesn't make any change in result why so??
