I am currently looking into replacing an older energy management system and was wondering what other facilities might be using.
A few things I am looking for are:
A windows based software program that runs on a standard PC (I don't want to buy a new system each time a PC gives out)
Telephone control (Dial up) to turn devices on and off (lights, fans, etc.)
A scheduler to schedule events (daily, weekly, holidays, etc.)
A company that can integrate to our existing tranceivers so that this project can be accomplished in stages (our facility is 850,000 sq ft and 11 bldgs)

Find out some information about the Trane Summit system. It is open protocol, works on a web browser (IE - PC based although there is a new web server option that would allow almost any browser to access the scheduling etc. of the system) works over TCP/IP protocol and ethernet and would allow staging the install... I am not sure about your existing Transceivers but it may make sense to integrate or replace depending on the complexity. For a campus or separate buildings this can really make sense.
