Complex chamfer notation

What is the appropriate way to specify a chamfer that follows a complex path (i.e. - it is on an edge that is not simply straight or circular, but a combination of lines & arcs). Do I just specify the dimensions in a single view and rely on the visual representation to show that it follows the whole edge or do I need some additional notation?

That's probably fine if the chamfer (or perhaps the theoretical edge to which it's applied) is tangent continuous, and if a note is used to specify the chamfer like your image shows. I think it might be a bit questionable if it's actually dimensioned.

Keep in mind that the "<size> X 45°" specification is only valid where the surfaces are perpendicular. It looks like that may not be the case everywhere in your image, so you might want to consider the "<size> X <size>" specification instead.

In continuation to what pylfrm suggested, if the bottom chamfer shown on your part is equal to the specified top chamfer, it might be a good idea to specify a note such as UNSECIFIED CHAFMERS SHOWN IN DRAWING VIEWS: "<size> X <size>", if there is a general tolerance block, it will dictate the tolerance for those chamfers.

I have added an ALL AROUND note to chamfers like that for clarity.
