About compatibility between materials! If someone can help me, thank you very much. Often in my course I doubt this arises. What are the criteria to determine the compatibility between materials? For example: A 216 or WCC (GR.B) is compatible with A 350 LF2 Gr.1?? I used as a criterion: The use of these materials, whether they are forged or cast Qunatidade carbon (C up to 0.32% vs. 0.30%), maximum operating temperature, etc.. However, what really would be a criterion for defining and proving par ASTM materials that are compatible? What do calculations, studies or anticipated? How to compare two materials referring to the ASTM? Thanks if you can help me.
