Hi all,

Are there any existing systems out there that would take/absorb measured dimensional data from injection molded components and feed it back to the injection molding machine to enable process optimization and valdiation to better control the process?

Appreciate any information you can provide.

Best Regards

I imagine reducing fill will create parts that have (possibly random) reduced geometries from designed... increased fill has no where to go, so no net effect there.

A system might make iterative changes to the mold itself, but not the injection process, and the former would be hours/days of downtime with each change to do the machining.

There are several molding simulation software packages out there. I've seen a demo for one package that allows you to set limits on certain parameters then runs several dozen simulations, attempting to optimize the desired inputs.

Little need to ask the same question in multiple forums.
