Are you looking for specific values? Qualitatively, I cannot tell the difference with a magnet between chrome-moly steel boiler tube and carbon steel boiler tube.
A specific value isn't needed.........
If one wanted to filter out small metal fines from the coolant while machining the chrome-moly, would a magnetic filter work?
