Hi,
I am trying to draw a complex geometry in CATIA. I first imported the points into CATIA from an excel sheet, using "GSD_PointSplineLoftFromExcel". I then built the surface using guide splines and multi-section surface tools. Following the successful generation of the surface, I used Thick surface to make a solid body. However, when I do this, given the nature of the splines and surface, the final part seems to have some bumps and troughs on the surface. I have shown the step-by-step process and the resulting issue in the attached PPT file.
The associated CAT part file and the Excel sheet containing the points can be downloaded using the above link.
It will be great if someone can review the geometry and suggest a better way to do this, without getting lumps on the surface when moving between surface and solid part.
