Bush and sleeve clearances in vertical pumps

Hi everyone, we have a vertical pump (VS4 type) which has multiple bush bearings. During a previous overhaul, all bushes were renewed but when the pump was installed back, high vibration was recorded due to high bush clearances. Can anyone help me and provide me with a standard that mentions the recommended bush clearances for VS4 pumps. Unfortunately, the pump manual does not mention the design clearances.

In order to recommend a bushing clearance, I would want to know the shaft diameter, rotational speed, bushing material and process fluid. In this configuration, the bushings could be lubricated with grease, external flush or process fluid. Which is it?

Bushings in this type of pump are inherently unstable. If they are too tight, they will overheat. If they are two loose, they will whip or whirl. This is worse at higher speeds.
