Morning,
Currently involved in a fitout where the occupancy of the existing building is NOT changing.
I'm looking for a standard or a section of the BCA that says something along the lines of "If the occupancy isn't changing thus the existing structural system is deemed to satisfy BCA/Standards etc etc."
I know there is something out there that states that under a certain % change of occupancy you can refer to something similar to what I have said above.
Currently I'm looking through AS3826 - Strengthening of Existing Buildings for Earthquake - which is starting to allude to what I am after.
