Two Questions in one post:
1) Is there any regulation/code/standard on the need for star washers (to make a 'better' bond) between two pipe flanges....in pipe carrying liquid hydrocarbons (monomers, in particular)? I always thought that the flange bolts themselves were good enough to bond the pipe together (even if painted) with the added benefit of the pipe usually bonded/grounded to the structure anyway.
2) Is there a required testing frequency to verify the bond is still good? How about a testing frequency for earth grounds in general?
