Bolt Descriptions

Sorry if this is a basic question for most of you, but I am confused by some terminology I have come across in some plans. "Economy Bolts" are called out for a connection. What is the definition of "economy bolt"? Does it conform to ASTM A 307 or some other specification? Can it be either square, hex, or round headed?
