After upgrading to SW2005 SP4, the save to PDF as well as my Edrawings toolbar have left. Also, when using the split line feature, SW would crash. I spoke with my VAR on the crash issue and it was resolved by registering an OCX file into the registry. I have tried repairing my SW install as well as repairing the OS (WIn2000Pro). I even went as far as removing SW and re-installing from scratch. Still no Bluebeam Printer or EDrawings. My Addins menu does not contain any boxes for either nor do I have a toolbar in "Customize".

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Pioplastic

Note: I have turned all other programs off during the install(s).

Go back into the install utility and make sure those items are marked to be installed.

One more thing... eDrawings is a separate program that has to be downloaded from the SW website.

I have downloaded and installed Edrawings. There is not a place to select PDF or EDrawings in the installation package.

Thanks,
Pioplastic

Edrawing is a separate install like PDMAdmin told you above.

The PDF is an add-in in Tools\Add-ins\"Save as PDF" - If you don't see it in there, then do a repair on your SW - See FAQ on how too.

Thanks for the info Scott, but I have already repaired SW, re-installed EDrawings, and repaired the OS. For some reason Windows' install is not registering the components properly. Both the Bluebeam software and Edrawings were installed but not recognized by SW. I can run Edrawings outside of SW and no problems. The Bluebeam printer was not installed.

I have Solidworks working on a solution as well.

Try doing a full uninstall and reinstall of SolidWorks. Scott wrote an excellent article in the FAQ section about how to do that the right way.

Thanks PDMAdmin, but I have already tried that several times. I have even completely cleaned the registry before the install. I have installed from the original CD's and updated to SP4. The problem exists with SP0 and SP4.
