blue tooth

i dont know if im in the correct room but ill ask anyway...

i was wondering if there is any components for the blue tooth technology....i want to build something simple so i can get a better view of this intresting technology

There are lots of companies selling (or at least saying they're selling) Bluetooth components. Depending on what you need there are mostly 2 chip solutions (baseband and RF) and at least one or two one-chip solutions out there. A little effort searching at sites like

or even google will help. Also, visit

http://www.bluetooth.org.

The thing to watch out for though is the ability of start-ups to support your volume requirements...make sure they have enough cash and customers before committing. Once you commit you're essentially single-sourced with this technology; to change means to rewrite code and relayout boards.
