I am a mechanical engineer in need of a good manufacturing process reference. I have texts from college but they are rather dated. I need something that doesn't look at cnc as something new
.
The equipment/processes I am looking for are laser welding, wire edm, swiss lathes, and live tooling. Additionally, it would be nice if the text dealt with more than basic milling (perhaps discuss lollipop cutters and chatter). Ideally it would contain typical tolerances/surface finish as well and was updated in the last 5 years.
Perhaps I'm dreaming.
