Battery powered measurement

Is there a commercially available solution for a battery powered measurement that lasts about 5 days (5x24hrs).
Measurement setup:
6 channels
6 accelerometers
1 data acquisition system
1 data storage (for 5x24hrs)
all this should be continueus, batterypowered.

All help is welcome

This is not a problem for us to make for you. System would be packaged in portable carrying case, have 6 channel capability, batteries included and have data logging capability with graphing and reporting software. Software will export data to spreadsheet or database programs such as Microsoft Excel. Data logger can store each channel once per minute, and is configurable by the user. Six accelerometers with cables also provided. Price $5,750 USD. Delivery 2-3 weeks ARO.

I am aware of the fact that a set-up as described is freely available. The only problem I have is getting batteries that have a 5x24hrs lifetime. My supplier has not yet found a solution that suits my needs. Therefore I'm checking with you guys to find a solution.
 
My system would utilize 4 lantern type batteries that would power for about 9 days.
 
Could you give me specifics about your system (supplier, type etc.)?

For powering the system surely you can just calculate/measure the power drain and provide sufficient lead-acid batteries or equivalent to achieve this for the specified time.

You do not say what the sampling rate of the measurement will be. Are you just recording the time signals or is some analyis (eg averaged spectra) to be performed online by the acquisition system.

Depending on the sample rate, the amount of storage space for the time signals could be very large. 6 channels times 3600 seconds per hour times 125 hours times 4 bytes per data point = approx 10 Megabytes per 1Hz sampling frequency. Thats 10 Gb for a 1Khz sample frequency. I understand that hard disk drives can be quite power hungry if they are writing continuously.

The problem with lead-acid battery is that the measurement takes place during flight (of course no plane flies 5 days cont., but during refuelling and loading into another plane measurements should continue) and wet-cell batteries are therefore not allowed.

The sampling rate will be approx. 2kHz (I need approx. 0-1kHz data). I'm just collecting time-data, analysis will be done afterwards.

The hungriness of all the parts (sensors, acquisition, diskdrive etc.) added up is indeed the problem, that's why I'm investigating this.
 
For my mobile tests I use 1 or more sets of Gel Batteries. They are relatively safe because there are no internal liquids or vent gasses (if you don't overcharge them).

They come in various sizes and 1 reason I like them is that the ones I use are 12 volt units which most of my equipment is powered with.
