Hello
So i am beginning to understand that if you use the DSS direct shear test , the sample must be oriented according to the proper failure angle . So if i have a planar failure of a slope that make an angle Alpha , computing the shear strength must take into account that angle we drawing Morh circles . I mean the orientation of the principle major stress to the plain of failure ?
