Over the past years (too many) I have experienced some strong opposition to the use of B-nuts on tubing (normally 1/4 inch to 3/4 inch). The fluid application is liquid or gas at room temperature, and pressures of 0 to 600 psi. I have never been able to hear a generic technical issue with b-nuts that cause concern for use of them.
I have heard of issues that would be common regardless of what type of fluid connector you were using (leaks, cracks due to wrong material, or over torque).
Does anyone in the community know of specific technical problems with the use of B-nuts?
Thanks!
