Autofilter freezes in Excel 2002

My computer was upgraded to Windows XP today via my network login. This included an Excel upgrade to version 2002.

I then have a file with an autofilter applied.
When I work in this suddenly after a while the autofilter just "freezes", i.e. the filter buttons does not react at all.
I can remove the filter, but the filtered rows stays hidden so I have to unhide all rows, reapply the filter and then after a while I can do it all again.

Have anyone else experienced this?

I have been checking around but found no clear solution for you. It may have to do with worksheet protection, array formulas inside the filtered list, or a large number of formulas in the list.
One thing to try is to turn automatic recalculation off and see if you still have the problem.
Array formulas can often be avoided if you can use sumif and countif formulas.

Hope this helps, Regards,
