Hello everyone,
I'm trying to model a two span bridge with shell elements in ABAQUS. A part of it consists of a concrete box girder which has a variable thickness. Attached can you see the variation of the concrete box girder. In order to assign the variations I have tried to create an analytical field (in the property module) but I can't really create one for the given cross section.
Moreover, I have done the modeling with solid elements and tried to convert it to shell elements but it is time consuming. So, I was wondering if you have any tips you could give me on how to create an analytical field for my cross section. Or if you have any other ideas on how I can model this cross section with shell elements.
Any help is appreciated!
