Jun 9, 2008 1 #2 RockEngineer Structural May 29, 2002 267 The allowable bearing stress between a pin and a plate per ASME BTH-1 eqn 3-51 is 1.25*Fy/Nd. Nd would normally be 3. If your pin rotates a large number of cycles they divide this by 2 for the allowable bearing per eqn 3-52. Upvote 0 Downvote
