I have been working on the wind load calculation of a Pressure vessel, the point is that the ASCE standard defines the procedure to find the wind load (lb) but in every pressure handbook they use the pressure on the vessel (psf) to feine the load on the pressure due to the wind.
My doubt is how do I change the load to pressure on the pressure due to the wind?
I have thought about to use the aproximation of an beam with a local load, in wich we can divide the load on the lenght of the vessel, in order to get the "distributed load".
