Hi,
I need to calculate wind load on a vertical net between 2 floors in a building. The purpose of the net is to stop debris from flying off the building and divert it to the lower floor.
Th net has a 42% Solidity ratio.
My question is:
Does the equation in AS/NZS 1170.2 clause D1.4 applies here? [Kp=1-(1-δ)^2 = 0.664], or shall I multiply the wind pressure directly with the solidity ratio δ?
The issue is that Kp is Section D is defined as net porosity factor "for freestanding hoardings and walls", while the debris net is not a freestanding hoarding or a wall.
Thanks in advance.
