ANSYS SPACECLAIM - Attempting to paste 2D sketches on to planes

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to paste a 2D sketch created in Autocad on to a 2D plane in Spaceclaim?

The Autocad file is essentially the master template so that can't be changed. I would like to import that .dwg file on to a specified plane in Spaceclaim, then, apply a sketch profile to the vertex of that sketch path then perform a sweep cut along that path.

Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hi David,

You could give that a try by reading in the *.dwg file directly in File>Open after switching the file format from *scdoc.
