I have a situation where I need to pull test some adhesive anchors. Is there any other guidelines to testing other than IBC Chapter 17? I'm specifically looking for guidance on appropriate factors of safety, load test requirements, and load duration.

In the IBC they reference keeping the load applied for 24 hours for static loads but for dynamic loads it's rather ambiguous. For a cantilever wind screen column what would an appropriate duration be?

I recently asked the manufacturer to do pull tests. Typically, if you are the EOR, you should not control how to do the pull test. Let the manf. control it and decide how to do it.
Usually the FOS is 5. We told the manf. to pull for 3x the rated load. And they did it for 15 secs. This is controlled by ASTM E 488 I believe.

Thanks Strucengg. That ASTM was exactly what I was looking for.
