Hi
I am trying to develop algorithms for flight trajectory optimization for the Flight Management System. However, I have been trying to look for information on how the airlines Ground team ( Dispatch ) defines the trajectory for a given flight.
I understand that the trajectory is just "proposed" and normally due to traffic and weather constrains it has to change. How do they actually calculate them?, do they have super computers?, are those pre-define routes that never change?, does the initial aircraft weight is really taken in consideration for speeds and altitudes?
I am looking for any reference (book, paper) or to read about any personal experience in the matter.
Thanks a Lot!
Alex.
