adjustable planetary system

i would like to know if this is possible to build: planetary,heical, 15 degree taper internal ring gear about 6" dia. it will have (3) 1 1/2" planet gears equal spaced. i want these 3 gears to adjust in and out to change the diameter of the bolt circle dia. of the three while they are revoling. this will be done with a servo and ball screw.

Ron,
If I understand your problem, you
cannot change the center distances.
So I cannot understand how you
can vary anything. Possibly someone
else can understand your question
and post a better explanation on what
you are trying to do.

Can't get there from here buddy.
If the Sun and Ring gear dont change shape, the planets will lose contact when they move. Ring gears and sun gears do not flex, if they did they would not transmit torque too well.
