ACCUDRAW, units and scaling - huh????

I've been trying to use ACCUDRAW to draw up schematics for an apparatus I've designed but the darn thing won't cooperate.

First of all - no matter what units I choose in Coordinate Readout, the AccuDraw window always displays the coordinates in some crazy units (whose identity, etc. I'm completely ignorant of).

Also, how do you go about changing the darn scaling in Microstation, i.e. if I wish to make each inch in my schematic equal 4 inches in real life, where do I set this...I attempted to do so in the active scaling category in the Design File Settings but to the best of my knowledge, my settings have not altered a thing.

To change the scale in Microstation (I have J, but this works for all versions that I know of), try this:

Settings --> Design File --> Working Units

Changing the working units around will do the trick. In this window under "resolution" the first number is normally set to 12 (" per ') for English scales and the second number (pos units per &quot can be changed to vary the scale on the drawing. I usually set my drawings to read 12 and 8000 for 1/8" scale. Thus, 12 and 16000 would be 1/4" scale, 12 and 64000 would be 1" scale, and so on.

As far as Accudraw goes, I don't use it much. Try reading a few of the posts below this one - I believe there are some comments on Accudraw that MAY help you. If I discover anything about Accudraw that might help you in the near future, I'll let you know.
