I posted a thread here before. I improved the model. But still some questions left.
a sandwich model, 3 layers(shell-solid-shell)should contact each other with no gap.
I briefly explain what I did in HM.
midsurface the model, then using 3d->element offset->no offset, thickness 1mm, 1 layer. A layer with solid elements created. (with analysis in ABAQUS, the midsurf and solid layer has full contact). Then i use 2d->elem offset->shell layer->offset 1mm, thickness=elem T. (with analysis in ABAQUS, the layer has no contact with the 3d solid layer).
Someone suggested to setup in Contact Manager in abaqus to let 2 layers contact each other.
I dont think it invole with abaqus although I solve the model using abaqus solver. I believe the model could be done in HM. How to let layers contact to each other. Could someone give me some advice or hints.
Thanks in advance
