Don't know about CPE but to cure chlorosulfonated poyethylene (CSM) you can use a metal oxide (PbO or MgO) cure in the presence of a wood rosin. If the compound is light-coloured then use lead maleate in place of lead oxide.

I've never worked with CPE (CM, in ASTM terminology), but have read that peroxide cures are mostly used for wire and cable, and thiadiazole cures mostly used for hoses. Aromatic oils can be used with the latter, but not with peroxides.
With your 'handle' being Thiadiazole, can I assume you have a preference (technically or commercially) for that cure system?
