Dear All,
Can you help!!
habitually we fabricate Clamp Ferrule using Rod Bar SA-479-316 for 4" dia. and less, UG-14(b)does not accept this material for 6" dia.I think to use piping material: SA-312-TP316 , So I can machine 6" pipe Sch80 to obtain 6" ferrule.IS IT CORRECT TO USE THIS MATERIAL. IF NO WHAT MATERIAL CAN I USE.THANKS VERY MUCH.LAURENT.

As long as it has the SA designation it will be an ASME approved material. If in doubt check with your local AI for the specific application.
