My company currently has a Stratasys uPrint 3D printer that we regularly use to print out prototypes of every new part we manufacture. This Stratasys printer seems to have been designed in not the best manner. Specifically, all the outer enclosure panels are made from a non-heat-resistant polymer that is now becoming brittle and breaking away after only four years of use. Has anyone else seen this effect with Stratasys 3D printers, and are there better options out there for a reasonable price? Four years seems like a short life span for such an investment.
