WOW! I just noticed that a huge chunk of sections 2306 and 2308 are missing from my IBC copy!

Page 497 starts with Table 2306.3 at the top, followed by Section 2308.3.2 on the bottom. Page numbers are sequential.

God knows how many pages I am missing, not only here, but elsewhere in the book!

Was this an errata I missed?

Obviously, I need to get another copy or the errata if it exists!

Anyone else see this?

Thanks.

I don't believe anything is missing, just the way the tables/figures are grouped together. The text continues from pg 491.

Sorry, but it is illogical to skip from Section 2606.3 to Section 2308.3.2.

There is an omission. That is a given here.

Mike - what's on the prior page? Just from that page CarlB could be right. Several of the IBC tables in my copy of 2012 are thrown in where they fit and not in the section itself.

I gave up on buying the paper copies. ICC has them all available electronically for free, and they have state by state modifications already published in them. I got burned on a project a couple years ago where I went by my paper copy of the IBC but Virginia had edited it to make it more stringent.

Pham: The prior page is... section 2606 ... and the page after is ... section 2608 ...

No misplacement here, just omission.

Thanks anyway...

I have a MADCAD subscription (no page numbers shown)for IBC 2015.
The page prior to Table 2306.3(3) "Allowable Shear Values for Wind or Seismic Forces for shear walls of lath and plaster or gypsum board wood framed wall assemblies utilizing staples" shows Table 2306.3(2) "Allowable shear values for wind or seismic loading on shear walls of fiberboard sheathing board construction utilizing staples for type V construction only" and a Section 2308 "conventional light frame construction" and Section 2307 "load and resistance factor design" and verbage describing Tables 2306.3(3) and 2306.3(2).
hope this helps.

As others have stated, page 491 has the last section of 2306, all of 2307 and the beginning of 2308. Then pages 492 through 496 (and the top of page 497) have tables that go with section 2306. Section 2308 then continues on mid-page of 497 as you have shown.

I see your point Pham.

Layout and organization is still confusing to me.
