I was requested to calculate the UCC for our newly installed Cogen Plant (4 GTGs + 1 STG) and to compare with the charges by the utility power company. Below is the sample of calculation.

We are planning to construct a 250,000 BPSD refinery. For power/steam supply we are also planning to install IGCC as an integrated facilities with the refinery.
Anyone got previous experiences on IGCC within a refinery. We anticipate a 200MW IGCC.

The GTG is designed based on certain composition of gas. Currently we don't have monitoring device to check the gas composition entering GTG. What is the impact to GTG if there is significant changes on the gas composition?

Currently our fuel gas skid got heater to ensure/control fuel gas temp entering GTG combustor at 42 C. If the heater fail/trip & let say the FG temp reduces below 30 C, what is the impact to GTG? Was told the GTG will trip? What the normal criteria of FG temp?

Yes Raghun, we can afford to shutdown the GTG whenever we have problem with HRSG/STG. We have so much spare on the power i.e. about 35% spinning reserve. For steam we have auxiliary boiler.
