    Hydrogen electrolysis aka green hydrogen

It works well from an energy to weight standpoint, providing a lot more storage than batteries, which makes it an interesting alternative for battery powered drones. 2-3x flight duration from systems with roughly the same weight as the battery they replace. The link I posted a few months ago...

Things are Starting to Heat Up - Part XIII

is that a per capita comparison?

The computer models (all models are wrong, some models are useful)

That map doesn't seem to care about per capita, either.

    Hydrogen electrolysis aka green hydrogen

These guys appear to have prototypes of it: https://amogy.co/amogy-presents-worlds-first-ammonia-powered-zero-emission-semi-truck/

The Lancet pulls a fast one

Is there a link to the article that shows that graph? I agree that it seems a bit deceptive at least, if you just look at the lines without looking at the scale. You see more red area than blue area. If people are reading quickly or otherwise not focused on the details of the chart, they might...

Things are Starting to Heat Up - Part X

An indepth analysis of the temperatures by a left leaning "climate scientist" "journalist" based in Austin? I am sure that was researched with an open mind. We had a mild spring here in central TX. It's warm now, but it doesn't seem that bad. We've had rain to cool things off some days. I...

    Just now on the news

Al Gore invented climate change after he invented the internet, so it is tough to dispute his expertise in either subject.

    Silence of the grid experts

You can get a generator which can run on a variety of fuels. I set up a gasoline one, then added a propane/natural gas conversion. A good safety backup for the grid here in TX. Of course, if the natural gas goes down, our gas heater does as well, but I guess I can run a few electric space heaters.

Adafruit FT232H for charging an external device

Depending on the device you are trying to charge through USB, you may have to provide a specific signal on the data lines to get it to charge. There are ICs that will do this for you, but as 3DDave pointed out, if the FT232H board doesn't have it on there, you will need some hardware changes.

Things are Starting to Heat Up - Part VII

Are you referring to the neural networks or the reporters?

a device that realizes the function of an ideal diode/OR-ing controller

I have used the LTC4359 with good luck, but it is only rated down to 4V. You could check out the LM74610-Q1. They are both AEC-Q100. You may get more responses on the Electronics areas, even though you are looking for Automotive rated parts.

method to evaluate received power transmission from Bluetooth devices

When I tried it with a cell phone app, I got different readings each time I measured it. And other phones read a bit differently from mine. I don't have any other suggestion for how to do it, just that it wasn't as useful as I was hoping.

    H2 fuel tanks ?

I had never seen that Skunk Works Liquid H2 project, called Suntan. Interesting that although it was cancelled, it led to the development of the SR-71 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_CL-400_Suntan

Things are Starting to Heat Up Part VI

Looking at both WHO and CDC definitions of infant mortality posted here, they both start at conception. Do they count abortions in those totals? Or do they retroactively become non infants and not counted?

Things are Starting to Heat Up Part VI

If this is accurate, it seems we only have one option. Back to our previous playbook. Increased CO2 is going to cause another ice age!

Things are Starting to Heat Up Part VI

Are you asking about how much it's generating per capita thread? Or the sum total?

    Converting signals for transmission sensor

Often times sensors like that are open collector outputs, meaning they simply ground, and then the ECU has the pullup resistor in it to create the high side voltage of the signal. I assume pins 1 and 2 are the power and ground for each sensor? Did you verify the 2 different sensors require the...

    TWELVE DIODES INSTEAD OF SIX

Did you verify that the components are diodes? I had seen some technical papers where they use transistors and a controller IC in place of diodes in some newer alternator designs. The transistor has a lot less losses. And there is a version of the circuit that uses 2 transistors in series...

    Fuel Injector Transmission Line Model

Why would the resistance burn up the computer? What resistance? One thing you'd need to worry about potentially, is engine diagnostics. This is not unsolvable, and probably also not worthwhile. It's been done plenty of times before with commercially available products. If you take away the...

    Voltage reducer circuit

There are some vehicles that have a circuit like you are describing. The first one that comes to mind is the Misubishi 3000GT. It switches to a higher voltage under load, controlled by the ECM. This page shows the circuit, and an inline resistor that is sized to create the voltage drop...
