Synchronize & Compare Two Analog Signals

We are looking for comparison of freq., amplitude, and phase to the reference signal. In general, the waveforms will be DC with some transients (~450us).

Synchronize & Compare Two Analog Signals

We are monitoring signals off of a power harness on a vehicle. We want to compare these signals to pre-recorded signals that pose as a baseline/reference.

Synchronize & Compare Two Analog Signals

Hello, I am looking for a circuit design that will allow me to synchronize two incoming analog signals (one reference and one unknown) which would allow me to compare them to see if they are similar or different. I am not to familiar with appropriate terms and phrases like, "phase lock...

    USB to Ethernet IC

Does anyone know of a simple IC that will convert USB to ethernet? I know there are little adapter modules out there but I want to put the adapter IC on the PCB I am designing. Thank you

    Charge amplifier for piezo/accelerometer

Could anyone give me some good advice/resources on choosing a good circuit configuration for a charge amplifer for a piezo/accelerometer output. I don't really need a fancy one;I can use one for now that works. Know what flavor of op amp I should use would also help. Thank you

    Monitoring a 4-20mA signal

Does anyone know where I can find a quick circuit configuration for monitoring a 4-20mA signal either by a current viewing resistor and associated amplifier or some kind of pre-packaged IC. Thank you.

What does "CCA" stand for when talking about a delivered item in a contract?

    Definition of "Rail-to-Rail"

When you look at an Operational Amplifier datasheet. What does the phrase "Rail-to-Rail" mean? Thanks

ARCOM: Viper Sgl. Board Computer & Data Acquisition Module

I am looking for a person who has or is currently using an Arcom, Viper single board computer (PC/104) with its associated data aquisition module (AIM104-Multi-I/O). If you are out there, I would really like to know how to hook sensors up to it and use the onboard DAC to drive my motors. I am...

Good resource for "simple" OHMMETER design

I am trying to look for good resources where I can find designs of a simple auto-ranging ohmmeter (200 to 20Mohms). I am attempting to embedd on in some of my equipment so it would be nice to have a some reference designs. Thanks.

    definition of "bootstrap"

Hello all, I would really, really like to know what the definition of "bootstrap" is when applied to a function of some electronics. Thank you

Specific gravity to state of charge equation

I need to find the equation(s) to determine a lead acid battery's state of charge from the specific gravity. Specific gravity of the electrolyte in a lead acid battery varies around temperature changes. Is there an equation for specific gravity of Sulfuric acid/water electrolyte versus...

    Signal Aquisition/Signal monitoring

Thank you all mindful engrs!!!!! I have thought about all you have proposed. Of course in the real world, we have to think about cost. I should have mentioned earlier that my goal was to measure 128 channels. 16:1 or 8:1 MUX/DEMUX would work as cascading them together but I needed the advice...

Need 2>1 analog mux for higher-than-VCC signals

You are almost on the same track I am. Try looking at the HCF4051B from STMicroelectronics. It is an 8:1 MUX but you could easily cascade two of them together.

    Signal Aquisition/Signal monitoring

Hmm... Resolution. I don't quite understand what you mean. As far as the signal integrity through the MUX, it is not a big concern. The smallest voltage I will probably see is about 1-5VDC. It is the larger voltages I am concerned about.

    Signal Aquisition/Signal monitoring

I am curious if anyone has any good ideas where I can get a "high voltage" input analog multiplexer/demultiplexer. Preferably the device would be 16:1 (I could live with 8:1). I am looking for a voltage input range of 0 to 100VDC. Thus far it has been a quest for the holy grail. Any...
