Hi I need to select a VFD driven motor for Mexico where the supply voltage is 480VAC, 60Hz for an equipment. The standard motors available in market (ABB,IE3 / Equivalent) are either 460VAC, 60Hz or 500VAC, 60Hz. Which one is recommended - 460VAC or 500vac Motor and why ? Regards Bala

Hello Thanks everyone for your input. As regards the motor, it is available with the manufacturer. This requirement is for Russia.But do agree that it is too much hassle and cost, instead would make more sense to purchase a VFD driven motor. I hope VFD motors for my spec do get manufactured.
