Commonly used in China as a adhesive binder in fireworks compositions. Almost unheard of in USA.
Yellow amber looking brittle small lumps that will reduce to powder & is partialy soluable in alcohol.
Is a binder of choice cited below.

The question pretty much says it all.
This has to do with a pyrotechnic flare device. Looking for a tube type case that will burn away rapidly with the flare composition. In searching the web, it appears polystyrene may be the most likely candidate.
