Is it possible to tell catia to ignore parts in a clash check or at least be able to exclude certain clashes from a report?
I'm thinking of fasteners, inserts that sort of part which are thrown up as clashes but are not "real" clashes.
The approval process to be an authorized checker where I work asks "what does it mean to be an Independent Checker".
This has me foxed at the moment.
Anyone enlighten me?
It's relative to the signatory process under the DOA awarded to the company by EASA.
Hi,
When I run a clash analysis and save the results as an XML file the report contains all the lines I have marked as irrelavent.
As I'm only interested in the relevant clashes I would like to exclude the others from the report.
How can I do this?

John Wills
Using Catia V5 I regularly create designs that incorporate components in a product requiring a repeatable set of features in an interfacing component.
I thought of using power copies to accommodate this but the power copies would be pretty complex: some having several pockets & holes and others...
For a project I want to learn how to analyse the torsional and longitudinal stiffness and strength of a ladder chassis as used in the AC Cobra in the 1960's.
I want to use a simplified model and techniques as this is akin to a conceptual design study.
Can anyone help or point out any relevant...
Using generative structural analysis I'm trying to set up a pure torsion case for a ladder frame as shown in the attached image.
I think I need to restrain the part somehow, but everything I try fails.
