I'm putting together a test pilot that is intended to run at a rated capacity of 200 gpm and preparing to use 6" nitrile lined hose. My concern is at 200 gpm I'm looking at a velocity as low as 2.25 ft/s.
I question if that velocity is high enough to prevent any solid waste...

Good day, I'm seeking dynamic viscosity data for SAE 10, 20, 30 and 40 grade oils at various temperatures, preferably between 15C and 40C.
I need fluids with known viscosities from 50-350 cP that are cheap for a reseach project that I'm doing. I have reasonable data for the above grades @ 40C...
I know that for duct flow Dh=4hb/2(h+b) and that for a pipe the hydraulic diameter is just the ID of the pipe.
What diameter would you use for a hollow pipe? i.e like the outer pipe on a pipe in pipe heat exchanger.
