I am looking for some assistance regarding the bending of some thin (7 mm) bus bar copper strips (2 bends) to a specific engineered drawing shape. Attached drawing shows the dimensions in mm...
Hello,
I require about 300 feet per month of 1 7/8" C65500 silicon brass rod, but it is only commercially available in 2" diameter.
The standard rod comes in 144 inch lengths, and I am having trouble finding a machine shop to turn down the rod. The 144" pieces could be cut in half before...
We are working with a sign company and need to weld sheets of alloy C22000 alloy to a bronze sculpture, C87300 alloy (Everdur). We are using tig but it doesn't seem to melt the metal very well at all. Any suggestions on a better way to weld this metal?
Thank you.
David

Hello,
I am looking to have surface oxide tests performed on a group of foundry silicon brass castings in order to try to determine the optimal amount of foundry returns that can be added to each melt, which will produce quality castings.
Sample 1 - a melt with 100% ingot
Sample 2 - a melt...
I am currently producing a manganese bronze alloy C86500 (Copper base) and using the formula below I am trying to obtain a zinc equivalent between 43 and 45.
Here is the formula Zn Equivalent = (Al*6)+(Ni*-1.3)+(Mn*.5)+(Sn*2)+(Fe*.9)+ Zn
My question is that I am looking for any documentation...
Does anyone know if a Pourbaix Diagram could be constructed for a copper base alloy that contains five major elements (copper, iron, nickel, aluminum and manganese)?
Thanks for any help.

Good Morning,
I require approximately 10,000 pounds of copper oxide for an industrial application (furnace flux). Wondering if this could be purchased as a by product....would anyone have suggestions as to where this might be sourced?
Thanks
Hello - Looking for a supplier of this alloy in this size mesh, with no luck. Does anyone know of companies that might produce this powder if I would supply them the alloy?
Thank you.
Is anyone familiar with the maintenance and life span of "high lead copper alloy" bearings that are used in the mining industry/crushing machinery. Photo of one large bushing attached, but also interested in the "cone crusher" castings.
I am doing some research about the potential life cycle...
377 forging brass can be purchased from manufacturer's all over the world. Has anyone noticed a quality difference between manufacturer's, or is forging brass the same no matter the producer?
Thank you.
We are casting a variety of brass and bronze alloys into ingot form, in a cast iron 30 class double cavity mold. Typical casting temperature of most of the alloys is 2200 F. After the metal is poured into the mold, it travels thru a water spray in order for the metal to solidify in time so...
Is anyone familiar with this product in terms of what alloy they are generally cast from, typical size of these bearings and expected life cycle of a typical bearing ?
Thanks
Is there a member who is familiar with the copper alloy castings ( C93700 and C93800 alloys ) that are used in the crushing industry? I have some specific questions about the lifespan of these parts and criteria for alloy selection.
Thanks
Could anyone tell me where I could find this graph which shows the order of oxidation of elements in a copper bath in the 2000 - 2400 F range. I seem to remember seeing the temperature on the x axis.
Thanks
I have to produce a casting that is approximately 80 % Copper and 20 % zinc, but would prefer to have this casting that turns out darker in colour - more like a 95 % Copper and 5 % Zinc alloy. Could add some other minor elements, but have to keep Copper and Zinc in those ranges.
Any...
