I have not done a lot of detailing lately. Even when I did, I rarely used expanded view. I have almost all icon menues off, to maximize working screen size. In expanded view Insert-Point and Insert-Curve are mostly grayed out. However, activating the icon menu allows insertion of both elements...
Is anyone else having issues with the Datum CCYS not being square to itself?

An amigo of mine just showed me something he had learned in NX5. It is also available on NX6. You can assign ASSEMBLY constraints to lines, turning them from smart curves to genius ones. My guess is that is a boil over from Mechanical routing which is currently locked out for us here. I checked...
NX6. Is there a wat to create a vertex (point) outside of sketch? My ability to us this instruction:
"4. On the 'General' tab of the Point Properties dialog, enter a string such as
'PT' and select 'Add Index to Name'. Then, select 'Ok'."
Is not functioning. It only works on Vertex points...
I know this applet has been available since NX3. We had some Indian engineers tell us that they always use it. They, however, did not tell us the benefits of it. Anyone please care to enlighten me on it? Grazie
I might have missed an answer to this in the FAQ area. If so, please forgive me. How does one fully expand the dialogue boxes? I have known how to do the menu bar for years. The dialogue boxes are new to me. Thanks for your help!
