Is there an ISO or ANSI standard on how to dimension formed tubing? If no, is there an industry standard that anyone knows of? We are getting into some new applications by using formed tubing and I need to supply vendors with clear and effective drawings.
Does anyone have any info ona H13 metric fit? I looked in the Machinery's Handbook but it only list fits up to H11. Marks' was the same. I am trying to interpret a drawing for a wheel loader attachment and the locking pin hole has a 50.5 mm dia with a H13 fit. I'd appreciate any direction...
I'm a novice when it comes to hydraulics so this may be a silly question but what are some possible causes for a hydraulic system to surge? I have flow coming into a main motor, then taking the exhaust from that motor and reducing the flow with a priority flow divider and sending that regulated...
Could someone tell me the proper temperature to stress relieve mild steel at after cold working or point me to a good reference? I tried to look in the Machinery's Handbook but couldn't find the information I was looking for.
My question is concening bend radius vs die opening. Is it possible to use one nose radius with a variety of die openings to achieve different inside bend radii? For example, if I have a 3/16" nose radius could I get a 3/8" radius for 3/8" material, 1/4" radius for...
I have a White HB series hydraulic motor with a displacement of 24.9 in^3/rev, flow rating of 20 gpm, and pressure rating of 2500 psi. Needed RPM is approx 200. I have been told that since I do not need the entire 24.9 in^3/rev of displacement to achieve the 200 rpm I need I can up the amount...
I am trying to tap a 3/8" mild steel plate for a M10x1.5 thread but after the tapping process the screw is has too much play. We are using a .336 in. hole and a M10-1.5xD5 3 flute spiral tap. I am new to metric threads so am not familiar with the tolerance classes. Could someone please...
