Does anyone have suggestions for ACS355 VFD that intermittently faults on overvoltage?
At the time of the last fault voltage was 831 volts. This fault is happening once every couple of days.
What is the lowest temperature you could measure if using a ammonia refrigeration system?

I would like to see the inlet to an evaporator coil. The coil is in a dark, sometimes wet and generally inaccessible location most of the time. The intent is for operators to know if ice is building up on coil.

What should you do with the VSD cable shield wire at a motor disconnect?
My intent was to join earth ground and shield at motor and VSD. But I am not sure what to do with shield at disconnect.

I have 8 VFD's that are going to be controlled via Hand Off Auto switches.
Is it "better" to use a external 24dc power supply for start circuit?
Or should I use each VFD's supply?
The VFD's will be mounted adjacent to each other and have a common stop button(via relay).

I want to read the level of a water in a polytank. The water fills the tank via gravity from a condenser on a roof(lots of turbulence and vibration).

I have a 1600A panelboard that is fed via a 2500kva transformer that is rated 480/277v on the secondary.
The panelboard does not have any loads that need a neutral.
Is it required to run the neutral conductor from the X0 of the transformer to the panelboard to satisfy NEC?

I had (13) 20hp,480volt 3phase motors running at the same time . The 480volt feed terminates at a tap block which then feeds fuses for each motor, contactor and ol's.
15 fuses feeding 5 motors blew.
That left me with 8 motors running.
Only 1 of the 5 motors was identified with a problem no...

I am using a 3 wire 120vac prox switch as an input to a micrologix plc. The input is dropping out(indicating light flashes off then back on erratically). If I wire the prox directly into the plc bypassing all the field wiring the input responds the same way.

I had a 3000 amp 480 volt breaker trip on a Ground Fault. The Hmi for the ground fault showed 79Amps. I did find a 36kw heater with all 3phases grounded. It was fed with (3) 50a LPJ fuses. 1 of the fuses was blown.
In the future I would like fuses to open before tripping the 3000 amp breaker...
