    Sealing between 2 Concrete Structures

Our work will involve the construction of a new access tube next to the wet well. we will then need to cut an opening in the wet well...

Sewer Pipe Installation Requiring a Pipe Laser

Some of the inspectors have been requesting that we require contractors to use a pipe laser for sanitary sewer construction. I think about half of the contractors around here use a laser. The others just use a rotating head laser level or some of the old timers will still shoot the elevations...

    Stored Materials

Can someone help settle a dispute between our staff. Our Contract is written in vague language. It says: you basically pay for stored materials. The Contractor has stored $10,000 worth of materials at the site. Now it is time to make the second progress payment. Pay # 1 - $10,000 Stored...

    Pump Curves, Beyond Comprehension

We just received a set of plans for a sports arena parking lot to review as part of a peer review. Part of the project involves the construction of a storm water pump station. The 'designer' (not an engineer) of the pump station has sized the station for the water quality release rate which...

What kind of separation is required for excavating under 62KV electric lines? We don't want to have any arcing.

Flooding Streets to Control Storm Water

Our City fathers have come up with the idea of flooding the streets to help eleviate basement flooding. The area of concern has combined storm and sanitary sewers, so when the sewer becomes overloaded it floods into the adjacent homes. I am sure that I am going to be asked to study the...

    Large Drainage Areas

New to the forums. I want to find out what everyone's experience is in dealing with large drainage areas. I would define large as greater than 500 acres. My approach is that anything larger than 200 ac or so should not be evaluated with the Rational Method. What does everyone else think?
